COMMUNITY CONCERNS FIRST FOR MSP AND EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE POLICE

Rona Mackay MSP to hold joint surgery with local policing team

Community concerns are top of the agenda for Rona Mackay MSP as she is set to hold a joint constituency surgery with East Dunbartonshire Police. The surgery, taking place online on Friday 12th February between 2-3pm on Microsoft Teams, is open to all constituents throughout Strathkelvin and Bearsden to raise issues regarding their local community and to hear more about the work East Dunbartonshire Police have achieved during the pandemic. The news comes amid a funding boost increase for Police Scotland, with a total budget of £1.3 billion being handed to the Scottish Police Authority for the upcoming year. Commenting, Rona said:

“East Dunbartonshire Police have been at the forefront of keeping our communities and streets safe during the pandemic. They have done incredible work and deserve our utmost gratitude and support. “This joint surgery is another example of the excellent working relationship I have with our local community policing team. It’s an opportunity for my constituents to raise any concerns they have and for Police Scotland and I to work on any solutions we can provide. “I would encourage anyone throughout Strathkelvin and Bearsden to come along and make their voices heard. Please contact my office on 0141 776 1561 or rona.mackay.msp@parliament.scot for an appointment”. END
