Dear Mr Maclennan,

I have been contacted by several of my constituents who are concerned about the impending loss of the 142-bus service in Bishopbriggs.

The loss of this service could leave many elderly and disabled people in Bishopbriggs unable to access their town centre, and their GP in Auchinairn.

As I understand, part of the current route is subsidised by SPT. Would it be feasible to extend the subsidy on the route to entice a new bus operator to take on the service?

My constituents would be grateful to hear that SPT are doing everything within their power to ensure that this vital service continues to operate in Bishopbriggs.

Kind Regards,

Rona Mackay
