LOCAL MSP ATTENDS OPENING OF NEW WELLBEING HUB

Rona Mackay MSP was delighted to attend the launch and open The New Dawn Wellbeing Hub in Huntershill Village earlier this month.


The Hub, run by Dawn Smith, will offer various wellbeing classes from antenatal, baby classes and a variety of different types of yoga for all ages, as well as mindful and meditation classes.


The Hub will also provide multiple workshops and discussions connecting local GP’s and Citizens Advice Scotland with their clients.


Ms Mackay said: “The new hub is a fantastic initiative aimed at all age groups and offers various wellbeing programs.

Robert Smith, GRACE Founder/CEO added: “The New Dawn Wellbeing Hub will be a fantastic asset to the community with opportunities for a holistic approach to supporting the physical and mental health wellbeing of our community. G.R.A.C.E (Group Recovery Aftercare Community Enterprise) intends to support the possibilities of collaboration and will start with a having Yoga class in the hub.''

Rona Mackay was re-elected in May 2021 in Strathkelvin and Bearsden.

Prior to this, she was a journalist in national newspapers for more than 20 years, before becoming Parliamentary Assistant to Clydebank and Milngavie MSP Gil Paterson, with whom she worked for nine years before becoming elected.
