MSP Rona Mackay has arranged a World Clean Up Day event in Milton of Campsie on 15 September 2018 between 11am and 1pm.
World Clean Up Day brings together volunteers and partners worldwide to come together to rid our planet of rubbish – cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from our beaches, rivers, forests, and streets.
Rona is inviting local business and residents to join in and help clean up the local area in Milton of Campsie.
Ms Mackay said: “I’m very excited to host this event in Milton of Campsie starting at the railway station to help clean up a very popular walking area within my constituency along the old railway path.
“I look forward to working with local businesses and residents to help us clear up this beautiful area.
“I chose this area for the first clean up as my office has received many complaints about rubbish and dog fouling in this area.”
