St Machan’s Primary School host Q&A with Rona for pupils

STRATHKELVIN and Bearsden’s MSP has been quizzed about her life as an MSP by Lennoxtown school children.

St Machan’s Primary School pupils questioned Rona Mackay MSP on Friday November 4 as part of their Scottish Parliament project.

The P6/7 and P7 classes asked a diverse array of questions including Ms Mackay’s duties as an elected representative and her background.

Julie Harvie, head teacher of St Machan’s, said: “It was a wonderful opportunity for our senior children to have the chance to interview their MSP today.

“Ms Mackay spoke about her life as a politician and the children were motivated and engaged in the discussions which took place.

“This will be of great benefit to them in bringing their topic of ‘The Scottish Parliament’.  We really appreciate the time Ms Mackay took out of her busy schedule to visit us.”
